hi! I am Lauren Tang. To start off i love music classical and modern. I also love animals. I love animals so much that I was a vegaterian for a year but I told you guys at the last meeting i had to eat meat again because i wasn't getting enough protein. I have 1 guinea pig,1 gold fish, and 1 golden retreiver. And to tell you what i'm looking forward to is the plane trip because i have never been on a air plane before!I am also looking forward to the culture because as I said before I haven't to many places so this will be exciting and i could learn a ton of things! I think that i will learn how to manage time because we are going to have a scedule and i need to be on time for everything. I think i'll learn how to be more mature and not make my mom make my bed and remind me things! and that's pretty much it! And i am so excited that the trip is only about 2 or 1 month away!!!!:)
Hey this is Noah Cortez! (I'm only saying my last name because there are two noahs on this trip) Anyways, I am a 6th grader at saints simon & Jude school in Huntington beach. I am always listening to music on my iPod and am practically on my phone texting or something like that 24/7. (I'm on my phone right now posting this by the way) I play the piano and recorder but I really want to learn how to play the guitar. Also, I LOVE Starbucks!(: In the summer I do junior lifeguards and I think it's really fun. Oh, and also have I told you I have a job? Well, it's not really a job job but I coach sports camps and I get paid. (the money I'm getting I save for the trip) A little fact about me is that I like to wear multi colored shoes (like the ones I wore at the spectrum) I literally LIVE in vans sneakers. Ohhhhh another weird fact about me is that once in 4th grade, the school piano fell down on top of me and I almost died!(well not die but something close to that) and yes, I just haaaad to tell you that. (no typo there) To sum up my personality, I am a fun loving boy who likes to hang out with his friends and is VERY energetic. (probably from all the Starbucks I drink) Okaaaay moving on. (wow I really took a lot of space for that didn't I?) Anyway, something I look forward to doing on the trip is meeting the other delegation. I just think it's kinda cool that we're traveling with people we don't even know. Something that I will learn on the trip definitely is responsibility. It's not I'm NOT responsible, but my parents think I rely on them too much. (which I don't disagree with) I think this trip will prove them wrong!(: Now, I don't think there's anything else to write about (hopefully) and I STILL need to do homework, soooooooo ima goooo noowww!(: PEACE<3
Only 2 ambassadors? How about a contest? The first 3 ambassadors to tell me a popular sport and brief description of the sport from any of the countries we are going to visit will get a prize at our next meeting!
Here is Lauren's response: One of the most popular in Britain is Football(soccer). In the national Football league there is 92 clubs. In the 92 clubs there are semi-professional players. Britain is home to the oldest Football association, the first Football national team, oldest knockout competition, and the oldest national league. Football was created in the year 1888. Football is an old and fun game known all around Britain and the UK. And did you know that Football is so old that it was even played in the medieval times. Another well known sport is Tennis. And there is a tradition in Britain that you have to eat strwberries and cream and whislte when you watch a tennis match. Around 3 million people around the UK are involved in Tennis. In the 12th century orgin traces of tennis were from a French game called Paume or Palm. In 1583 the racket was invented in Italy. And now Tennis is one of the most popular games played in Britain. And I hope you like my 2 paragraghs about sports played in Britain and I hope it's ok i did 2 sports:)
